Be Positive Blog

I don't know what blood type Jesus is, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's Positive!

  • You are positively covered by Jesus' Blood - cleansed, protected, righteous.

  • You can be positive you're standing in God's Will for your life.
  • Be positive about what you believe - certain, unwavering and able to back it up with multiple scriptural proofs.

  • Trusting God assures you can keep a positive outlook regardless of circumstances.

A Vision for Relationship

Have you ever had a vision? If it’s never happened to you, ask God to reveal Himself to you this way. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what value might we put on visions?

My first vision was quite soon after getting saved. I was sitting on my bed, reading the Bible and as I got to the ‘speck in the eye’ story, I was thinking how stern and austere Jesus sounded. A motion drew my attention. In the corner of the room I watched as Jesus and the disciples walked a steep path on a hillside. The disciples were arguing good-naturedly, pushing and shoving the way young men do with friends. One of the guys was accusing another of some small character flaw. I couldn't hear their words, but I got the gist of it in that supernatural way God communicates. As their conversation unfolded, Jesus grinned, and that grin turned into a chuckle. Soon He was in full belly-laugh. Maybe Peter had accused another of having a short fuse—THAT would be funny.

The point I want to share is this—one short vision was enough to alter the course of my life. That day I saw Jesus in a new light. My opinion of Him was forever changed. I never again tiptoed around Him. I can be myself with Him. I am comfortable with Him as my friend and big brother. He is God and is to be reverenced, but He reminds me I’m forgiven of every shortcoming and He supports me in every way. He’s approachable and He’s here. Because He went to the Father, He’s available to me 24/7. And He has a great sense of humor.

Like Father, like Son. You really can go boldly before the throne of grace and find help in your time of need. Helping you is His deep desire, and if it’s Jesus’ desire, it’s the Holy Spirit’s and it’s the Father’s. Reverence them, worship them, praise them. But remember that if they didn’t want an intimate relationship with you and to be constantly in touch with you, then why did they take up residence inside you?
