Testifying in Remembrance

I remember a few years ago, hearing that in Jewish culture, saying "in remembrance" wasn't describing a quick nod or an acknowledgement to something or someone-- it was an instruction for deep thought...meditating. For example, on an anniversary, a couple would relive their wedding in their minds or even in action, putting themselves back into the situation, feeling the emotions, anticipation, hope, and decisions again.
So when Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me," we are meant to put ourselves right there with Him on that cruel climb to Golgotha, to try to imagine the pain, experiencing the cost He paid to save us and even the joy that was before Him. Taking some time before communion to truly be 'in remembrance' is a wonderful way to deepen your understanding of what Jesus did for us.
Tonight I gained greater revelation on the subjects of remembrance and of the importance of our words. Combining the two creates a synergistic powerhouse.
The literal meaning, I discovered, of the Hebrew word for 'testify,' is not to speak of something that happened before, but to DO it again! A Messianic rabbi said that Jews believe that when you tell of something great God did in the past, that testimony holds the same power that God used to achieve what you are re-telling. He said that he had seen people healed just by hearing the testimony of another that was healed.
This is the greatest example, I believe, of the power of our words. They literally hold life and death. They bless or they curse. We know that when we speak the Word, angels hearken--they go into action on our behalf. Now we know that speaking of His great and mighty works causes that same power to be made available again. What will you do with this new knowledge?
When I'm down, or have a specific problem, I re-read my own accounts from my book of miraculous testimonies--How Many Miracles is One Person Allowed? - Extraordinary Accounts from an Ordinary Christian. Now that you know hearing these testimomies can bring you the same results, please read it or listen to the audiobook. Blessings are meant to be shared, and I've drivven off a cliff, been stalked, had supernatural real estate deals, multiplication miracles--you name it. Be healed, rescued, informed and supplied, as you enjoy these miracles and make them your own. Find it here: https://www.kemalatribe.com/bonus-content
