Be Positive Blog

I don't know what blood type Jesus is, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's Positive!

  • You are positively covered by Jesus' Blood - cleansed, protected, righteous.

  • You can be positive you're standing in God's Will for your life.
  • Be positive about what you believe - certain, unwavering and able to back it up with multiple scriptural proofs.

  • Trusting God assures you can keep a positive outlook regardless of circumstances.

An Explanation of Open. Visions

“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon

all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men

will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. -Joel 2:28

Pastors from all denominations preach on this scripture, but usually as still far in the future. Yet dreams and visions are occurring now. I have experienced several, and there's nothing special about me. I see no evidence that dreams and vision ever ceased, so I suspect that Joel 2:28 will manifest as an explosive event of front-page, breaking news, live coverage, world-wide proportions. I surely hope so.

Daniel is likely the person most referred to when the church talks about dreams, and the Apostle John is, of course, known for the vision shared in the book Revelation. John's was most likely a closed vision, I say that simply due to the apparent lengthiness of the vision and the fact that he seems to have been completely immersed in it.

This is how AI defines an open vision:

----------------------------------------------

An "open vision" refers to a spiritual experience where a person perceives or witnesses things, often divine revelations, while their eyes are physically open and their senses are engaged in the physical world...In an open vision, the person is aware of their surroundings and can interact with the visionary experience as if it were a real-time event.

Key characteristics of an open vision:

  • Consciousness: The individual is awake and aware of their physical environment.

  • Active participation: The person can engage with the vision, seeing, hearing, and sometimes even interacting with it.

  • Divine revelation: Open visions are often associated with God's communication or revelation.

  • Open eyes: The experience happens while the person's eyes are open, allowing them to see and interact with the physical world simultaneously.

Examples of open vision:

  • Seeing an angel while walking down the street.

  • Experiencing a divine vision while in a meeting, feeling present in the physical space but also witnessing a spiritual event.

  • Hearing a voice from God or a spiritual being while in a waking state.

----------------------------------------------

I wouldn't call seeing an angel a vision, because the angel is actually there -- you've simply been enabled to see it. I also would not call 'hearing a voice from God or a spiritual being' a vision. Hearing isn't seeing. Scripture clearly says we should be hearing God. And we humans listen to spiritual beings (from the dark side) all the time without even realizing it. Visions from God, on the other hand, are special and to be honored.

My first open vision was soon after Kevin and I rededicated our lives. I was reading the Bible and came to the passage where Jesus said to get the telephone pole out of our eye before telling another to get the sawdust out of theirs. I looked up and saw Jesus and the disciples walking up a track carved into a hillside. I'm remembering a few of the disciples jostling and shoving each other as young men would when disagreeing. As He spoke, Jesus was cracking up! I'm talking belly-laugh here. My life changed that day, experiencing Jesus' sense of humor and realizing that He is full of joy and finds pleasure in knowing us, even as He corrects us. I met the real Jesus that day.

Another vision I'd love to share is too long for this post, but as it unfolded, I continued to shower, brush my teeth, etc... And as I asked questions in my mind, the vision altered to answer them. The vision came in response to getting my eyes off the physical pain I was in and refocusing on God. The vision ended as I received the revelation that healed me. You can read a detailed account of it in Disarming Deadly Doctrines, available on this website and Amazon.

Is there anything you can do to receive a vision yourself? The only thing I can share toward that end, is that I began hearing God's voice when I stopped saying I couldn't. I began experiencing miracles when I trusted God to take care of me and stopped relying on myself and my husband. I had an amazing dream when I asked God to give me a creative idea while I slept. And I had visions when determining to know God and understand His ways more. Ask and ye shall receive.

PS -- If you query AI about closed visions, the same Google AI refers to them as hallucinations! Hilarious.
